It costs a lot fucking more to pretend like the welfare system is about teaching immoral minorities the value of work than it does to pay the bills of people who’ve been fucked so hard by this country that they wedged between the cracks. Stop the silly bullshit and start paying for some college or extended benefits.

Offering welfare recipients a “ladder” to a shitty cashier job is basically saying: “Hey, climb this so we can say we’re better than you”. It’s calisthenics for the white, middle-class superiority complex. Pathetic.
