to sum up

I moved to Los Angeles in June of 2008. Coming up on 3 years now. Given the events that have lately transpired, I have decided to sum up what has happened since I’ve been here.

• The guy who agreed to rent me a room when I first came out informs me once I get here that he is going through an eviction.
• Found a job at a shady (borderline illegal) company & a place to stay.
• My car gets stolen.
• Got a shitty apartment.
• Lose my Coach wallet, a birthday gift from my mother.
• Got laid off.
• Purchased a cheap car with income tax refund (2009).
• Found another job at another shitty company.
• Got laid off.
• Spent my 2010 income tax refund catching up on bills and staying caught up, instead of using it as a deposit on a new apartment, since I can’t sign a new lease with no job.
• Got in a car accident, totaling my car. Insurance finds me at fault, car not being replaced.
