I finally found two of these at a local garden sale, and they’ve easily doubled in size in three days. In some places, they’re a weed. That’s fine. In my house, they help ease my fragile ego.

Sensitive plants are so cool. I got one from my grandmother when I was a kid, and I was fascinated by it.

The Dutch name for these is “kruidje roer-me-niet” which literally translates to “little don’t touch me herb.” It’s the cutest. You can buy them at my university’s botanical gardens.

Ever since I was a child, I have been obsessed with finding one of these.  I used to see them all the time in Florida when I was a child and I didn’t find another one until I moved down to Miami! I used to randomly touch any plants that looked like this to see if it was a sensitive plant! :)

I didn’t even know plants like this existed!

I get a similar response from women.
