well you’re just accident-prone dude. yikes. Well I think you should get it checked out anyway, that shit ain’t nothing nice.Once, I tried to put out a fire with a steel handled bread knife. My hands were wet, I slipped and cut the inside of 3 of my fingers open. That was probably my last tetanus shot. Forgot about that one. That was only 2-3 years ago. If I go to a doctor they might give me antibiotics… Hm.
WTF, dude? OK check this out.
I had just moved into an apartment with some roommates, and we were up late drinking beers and unpacking. I had these bookends that came with my LOTR: 1 DVD set that I wanted to use, and they had those damn plastic zip ties holding them together. Well, being the enterprising young man that I am known for being, and seeing as how we had no scissors that could be found, I decided cutting the zip ties with a steak knife would work out just fine.
Well I stuck the knife in, stabbed, and it went into and THEN OUT OF my hand. That’s right; clean through. It was amazing. ER trips at 2:00 AM are awesomesauce, BTW. Doctor in the ER told me how lucky I was that I miraculously missed all important tendons/ligaments/nerves. I just needed some stitches. Now I have these ugly purplish scars on my hand as a reminder forever of what I now consider to be an essential truth of human life:
MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS OWN A PAIR OF SCISSORS
edit: I noticed the last time I posted this that I had accidentally cut off havissard’s comments. Apologies.
